“The Mighty Macs” is a story set in 1971 about a less than typical basketball coach at an all-female Catholic college in Philadelphia.  Add to the story a cheerleading section of nuns; an unsupportive Mother Superior; and not enough women to even have a basketball team and you have a movie that’s in contrast to much of what’s available for families to view these days.
