Mythbusters Collection 7

Before we begin this review, let’s remember a very simple warning:  Try nothing you see on these DVDs at home!!!!  Nothing.  Not only is it dangerous, but you probably don’t have the money to pull it off.

So instead let the Mythbusters do it!  Mythbusters Collection 7 is jammed with ten, one-hour long episodes on two discs of all of Adam and Jamie’s (along with the rest of the crew) crazy exploits.

There are many, many myths in today’s age filled with insane and nonsensical ideas (like in one of the episodes on this DVD set; can you break out of jail with antacid tablets?) that you wonder deep inside whether there might be a sliver of possibility to them.  Enter the Mythbusters, who are there to bust and confirm all the myths you could ever think of (and some you can’t)!

One of the many things I like about this show is that they take the time to explain the science behind what they’re doing so that you (the person who may not be a physicist, chemist or doctor) can understand what’s going on.  It also makes the episodes somewhat more educational than just watching the hosts blow stuff (or Buster, the test dummy) up.  It’s great for the high school science class as a treat to watch too (you don’t need to let the kids know they’re learning…)
