(Pre-viewed) The Boondock Saints Unrated Special Edition DVD Giveaway

It’s time to clear off the shelves here at Play That Now headquarters (aka our home), as the DVDs are taking over, and there is little room for the new ones.

Are you the type of person that goes to the second hand DVD shops or the pawn shops to find deals on DVDs?  In that case, if you don’t mind getting a pre-viewed DVD in the mail at no cost to you, then you might try your hand at winning a few of them.

Up for grabs today is the Unrated Special Edition of The Boondock Saints.  This was only watched once.

The discs were remastered digitally by THX for picture and 5.1 Dolby Digital EX Surround Sound.

While this version is Unrated, if you’re not familiar with this cult phenomenon it is definitely an R rated movie.

Here is the movie synopsis off the case back:

Hot on the trail of the assailants behind the bloody murder of Russian thugs, FBI agent Paul Smecker (Willem Dafoe) is surprised to discover the killers are Irish twin brothers (Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus) who believe they’ve been chosen to rid the world of evil.  But as they unleash more brutality on the criminals of Boston’s underworld, Smecker finds himself torn between busting the vigilantes…and joining them!

CONDITION OF DISC:

I got this as a win in a sweepstakes, and it is not a movie that we would typically watch, so it was only watched once, and it was new when I received it. It is obviously therefore opened.

 If I recall however there is one spot on the disc that the movie hangs at, but it came that way new, it’s been a while since we viewed it, and honestly I don’t care to watch it again to confirm that or where on the disc it may be if it does stop momentarily.

It comes in a metal case with the design seen above.  The paper that gives the movie details is still adhered to the back of the case and there is a spot on the paper from the adhesive used to stick it on the case.  There are a few small dents on the front top and bottom of the case.

There may be fingerprints on one of the discs.  I did my best to make sure there were not, but there is no art on either side of the one disc.
