2010 Fall TV Line Up – What’s New, What’s Returning

The end of Labor Day weekend, signifies fall is here, and that means the fall TV lineup is right around the corner.

So what’s new and what favorites are returning?  While this is by no means a comprehensive list, here are some of the shows coming soon to a TV near you.

Mondays

New on CBS – Hawaii-Five-O (Sept. 20 – 10/9c) – An updated classic comes back with a crime drama about an elite police task force in Hawaii.

Tuesdays

New on ABC – No Ordinary Family (Sept.28 – 8/7c) – One part Heroes, one part The Incredibles (taking good advice from that movie, as the characters in No Ordinary Family do not don capes).  Michael Chiklis stars.

Returning on CBS – NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles and The Good Wife
Returning on FOX – Glee

Wednesdays

New on CBS – The Defenders (Sept.22 – 10/9c) – Courtroom Drama, which is inspired by a true story and has its roots in a documentary.  Stars Jim Belushi and Jerry O’Connell.
New on NBC – Law & Order: Los Angeles (Sept.29 – 10/9c) – The popular series develops another franchise.  Starring Skeet Ulrich.

Thursdays

New on NBC – Outsourced (Sept.23 – 9:30/8:30c) – A comedy that has an American working in an overseas call center.

Returning on CBS – CSI and The Mentalist
Returning on FOX – Fringe

Fridays

New on NBC – Outlaw (Sept.15 – 10/9c) – A legal drama about a Supreme Court Justice who returns to private practice.  Stars Jimmy Smits.

Saturdays

Looks a little bare unless you’re into College Football (ABC) or Crime Reality (CBS & FOX).  Repeats are scheduled on NBC.  It’s a good evening to catch up on all the shows you DVR’d during the week or rent a DVD (unless you’re into the above that is!).

Sundays

No new shows lined up, but The Amazing Race and Undercover Boss are returning to CBS, iconic The Simpsons on FOX, Desperate Housewives on ABC, and more football on NBC.

So what are you watching this season?  Are there any new shows you’re looking forward to?
